Candidates

One great thing about HydraFacial® is that it can be used on all skin types. HydraFacial® treatments can be used to address both teenage and adult acne outbreaks. It can also be used to help smooth fine lines and get rid of dark spots or hyperpigmentation. HydraFacial® treatments are easily customizable for each patient’s unique skin type and concerns.

HydraFacial® treatments are particularly useful for candidates who cannot squeeze in the downtime associated with other treatments—a HydraFacial® treatment can take only 30 minutes, with patients walking away completely fresh-faced and with no irritation. Because of its gentle process, HydraFacial® is excellent for candidates with sensitive skin or those who have trouble with the inflammation or discomfort that can be caused by other treatments, such as microdermabrasion.

Procedure

For a HydraFacial® treatment, Dr. Mendieta uses a special wand with a double vortex that vacuums up dead skin cells to clear pores while simultaneously infusing the skin with nutrients like vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, salicylic acid, and other skin-soothing serums. The serums and nutrients can be customized to address specific skin conditions or patient concerns. The innovative approach of infusing the skin with nutrients and hydration as it clears and cleans the skin leads to a light, soothing effect—with none of the pain or discomfort of other skin-clearing techniques.

Recovery

There is no downtime associated with a HydraFacial® treatment—patients can walk into Dr. Mendieta’s office for a 30-minute treatment and walk out with no irritation, swelling, or pain. Patients can put on makeup and get back to regular activities as soon as their HydraFacial® is completed.

Results

The effects from a HydraFacial® treatment are immediately noticeable. Patients can see the device clear away impurities as it delivers nutrients. Once the treatment is done, patients will immediately see an improvement in skin clarity, hydration, and suppleness. Even conditions such as acne, dark spots, or wrinkles can be visibly diminished with HydraFacial® treatment. Skin tone will visibly improve and skin will look healthy, bright, and clear. The results typically last about a week or so, so consistent treatments may be needed for the best long-term effects. Dr. Mendieta may recommend coming back for a HydraFacial® treatment at least once a month for continued improvement.
